I voted for NUMBER 2 DESIGN because it makes the t-shirt look more authentic to the movie because Roddy Piper saw everything in Black & White when he put on the special glasses! Great shirt Fright Rags! :)

I voted for #2. I’m all for the simplistic. I just think the red and gray combo fits nicely with the movie itself. #1 is unique with the blue-lighting and gives a real 80′s cheese feel to it but i think in some ways the color drowns out the detail. #3.. I would like to know why they chose purple? Just curious.. And #4 I’m not a big fan off the off-white. I think it works in the background for the horizon but all the signs and the eyes and teeth of the aliens should be white. But that’s just my opinion.. Great job on the shirt!
I see a lot of people are still a little upset that the text lost by 1 vote. I didn’t like the text myself but that’s just personal preference. In the grand scheme of things this shirt is a collective combination of Fright-Rag consumers. WE created this shirt. Ben gave us the chance to become part of process. It’s very rare to find a company these days that would actually give a damn what the buyers think.
    That’s my 2 cents worth..

What a tough choice. I voted for number 2, I love the darkness on the aliens…but I would be just as happy with 1 or 2

I just realized it was a tad ironic that we’re all bickering over a shirt we wanna buy when the shirt itself references an anti-consumerist message.

Version #1 because it matches the alien coloring from the movie

Please put the quote on the back! It’s a classic line, it must be on the shirt somewhere.

I like #2 and 4 the best and ended up voting for #4.

I went with #2, it just pops better than #4 which seems to subdued. Plus I feel #2 better represents look of having the glasses on, with #4 the yellowish colors distract.

Also, we so need to vote on getting that quote back on the shirt somewhere, pretty please with karo syrup and an eye of agamotto on top…

I was torn between 2 and 4, but ended up voting for 4…I’m not sure why, but it just suits it better.

    Version 1, guys!
The color palette of the film is captured perfectly in the first version!
Not only that, but the pink also alludes to the bubblegum in a nice subtle way.
    VOTE VERSION 1 !!!

Now I know Nada never had the shotgun at night, but version 1 also makes a nice shot.
Like Nada’s outside at night and the police just threw their flares, partially illuminating him, and he’s ready for a fight!
Like many of the shots of the men in J.C. The Thing!

    VOTE VERSION 1!!!

I went version 2 but honestly, I love them all.

    Still needs the line though.

This shirt was looking really good with text and with the original sketching of the piper but now it seems just a bit de-railed. Not a fan of any of the colours and don’t think I’ll be buying this shirt anymore :(

tough call between 3 and 4, but when it comes down to it; black and red tees- how original :P
you don’t see the colours proposed for design 3 anyway near as often. Makes the shirt much more unique, and i think it looks cooler. but either way, still a great design and the colour choices are all suitably effective.
    Go design 3 though!!

I’m very disappointed that the Bubblegum quote was removed from the shirt. If it came down to 1 vote, shouldn’t there have been a runoff? Maybe you’ll make both versions of the shirt.

So glad the text isn’t there! I’ll be ordering one of these as soon as they are available!

You guys had a great idea for a shirt! Then you let people vote on it. The Bubblegum line is now gone and now I wont buy this shirt!

I think offer a “regular” version of the shirt and then a “deluxe” with the quote on back for a couple bucks more to cover the printing cost.

Its a neat design, no question, but without the quote I have to pass, it made the shirt.

this shirt needs the text on it. I went from definitely buying, to not interested at all.

  26. June 18, 2009

I really didn’t like the quote… Surprised so many did.
The signs in the background are what make the shirt for me.

I went with #1 – the colors are so gorgeous and vibrant, and as someone pointed out, screams Carpenter film! And, captures the era!!!!! Most excellent work, guys. STUNNING.

Glad you dropped the bubble gum line, too. Sorry folks, but it was seriously just too much and this design is far sleeker without the text.

i also agree….i would like to see the quote also….i woluld be willing to spend a little more bux for the quote!!! i hope u make it available brother!

Version 1 for sure! No need for text at all.

since so many people, including me, want the quote on the shirt you should just put it on the back as a happy compromise! I like version 1 the best.

My vote went to # 1. The design seemed to stand out more than the others. It could be improved upon if the blue was toned down a little.

    #4 is ok.

    #3 isn’t working.

#2 the colours work but they seem a little too “safe”.

    Overall, great work!

I like #2 & #4 the most but overall they are all amazing so no matter which one got it, it would be amazing so!
