About Jaws: The Revenge (1987)

Jaws: The Revenge (1987) has gained legendary status as one of cinema's most entertainingly bad sequels, featuring a shark that apparently follows the Brody family from Amity to the Bahamas out of personal vendetta. Lorraine Gary returns as Ellen Brody, now widow of the late Chief Brody, who becomes psychically linked to the shark pursuing her family. Michael Caine famously couldn't attend his Academy Award ceremony for Hannah and Her Sisters because he was filming this movie, later quipping, "I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific." Despite its reputation, the film delivers some impressive underwater photography and has become a beloved cult classic precisely because of its absurd premise.
