About Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)

Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) arrived just a year after the original, directed by Tony Randel from a story by Clive Barker and a screenplay by Peter Atkins. Kirsty Cotton (Ashley Laurence) is committed to the Channard Institute, a psychiatric hospital run by Dr. Philip Channard (Kenneth Cranham), a doctor secretly obsessed with the puzzle box. Channard brings Kirsty's wicked stepmother Julia (Clare Higgins) back to life on a blood-soaked mattress, and the story then follows its characters into the Cenobites' own Hell: a vast labyrinth ruled by Leviathan, a giant spinning diamond. The film also reveals that Doug Bradley's Pinhead was once a human British officer named Elliot Spencer, giving the series' famous villain a tragic past. Christopher Young returned to compose the sweeping score.
