About The Last Starfighter (1984)

The Last Starfighter (1984) pioneered extensive CGI spacecraft (replacing traditional models) while telling a wish-fulfillment story about a video game champion recruited to fight an actual intergalactic war. Lance Guest plays Alex Rogan, a trailer park teenager whose high score on the Starfighter arcade game catches the attention of alien recruiter Centauri, played with scene-stealing charm by Robert Preston in his final film role.
