About Child's Play 3 (1991)

Child's Play 3 (1991) ages Andy Barclay into a troubled teenager sent to military school, where Chucky—rebuilt once again from melted-down Good Guy plastic—follows to finish what he started. The film gained notoriety in the UK when it was falsely linked to the tragic James Bulger murder case, leading to moral panic about horror films and video nasties despite no actual evidence of connection. The military school setting provides fresh territory for the franchise, culminating in a haunted house carnival ride finale. While the rushed production (filmed back-to-back with the second film) shows in places, Child's Play 3 remains an entertaining entry that explores Chucky's obsessive need to transfer his soul.
