Jessica Biel stars as the final girl in this glossier, more conventionally frightening take on the material, which emphasizes Leatherface's physicality and the depraved Hewitt family's sadism. R. Lee Ermey's Sheriff Hoyt became an instant horror icon, his improvised verbal abuse of the protagonists adding a layer of psychological terror.
