The film's commitment to authenticity is remarkable—every fake commercial, station identification, and news anchor interaction feels genuinely pulled from a VHS tape discovered in someone's attic. Director Chris LaMartina and writer Jimmy George created original ads for carpet stores, car dealerships, and a lawyer specializing in "Satanic cult" cases that are often funnier than the horror itself. The slow-burn approach pays off brilliantly when the paranormal investigation turns real, proving that found footage can still surprise when executed with this level of craft.
