About Army of Darkness (1992)

Army of Darkness (1992) catapulted Ash Williams back to 1300 AD, transforming the Evil Dead series from cabin-in-the-woods horror into a full-blown medieval fantasy adventure comedy. Bruce Campbell delivers countless quotable lines—"Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun," "Hail to the king, baby," and "Shop smart. Shop S-Mart"—cementing Ash as one of cinema's most beloved cult heroes. Sam Raimi's love of The Three Stooges and Ray Harryhausen stop-motion comes through in every frame, from the miniature Ash sequence to the skeleton army battle. The film exists in multiple cuts with different endings, and while it underperformed theatrically, home video and cable made it a generation-defining cult classic.
