About Halloween Ends (2022)

Halloween Ends (2022) took a controversial approach to concluding the trilogy, focusing largely on a new character named Corey Cunningham and exploring how evil can transfer from person to person like a virus. The film is as much a tragic romance between Corey and Allyson (Laurie's granddaughter) as it is a slasher film, subverting audience expectations at every turn. Jamie Lee Curtis's final confrontation with Michael Myers brings the decades-long saga to a definitive close, with Laurie finally destroying him in a communal act of catharsis. Director David Gordon Green described it as an anti-slasher film about breaking cycles of violence and choosing to stop being defined by trauma.
