About The Exorcist III (1990)

William Peter Blatty's The Exorcist III (1990) is adapted from his novel "Legion" and features what many consider the greatest jump scare in horror history: a single static hospital corridor shot that erupts into terror without warning. George C. Scott stars as Lieutenant Kinderman, investigating murders that match the M.O. of a killer he watched die in the electric chair fifteen years earlier. Brad Dourif delivers an electrifying performance as the Gemini Killer, his monologues about carp and old women rivaling Hannibal Lecter for articulate menace. The studio infamously forced Blatty to add an exorcism sequence that wasn't in his original cut, and a director's cut restoring his vision has become highly sought after by fans.
